Our Home
 |
The Old School was built in 1865 and converted to a house in 1970. the original entrace still has the "Girls" sign above, it the"Boys" sign though still incorporated in the building is not as evident. Though girls and boys were segregated we now allow them to mix and enter through the same door. We are situated on the A49, 7 miles from Hereford and 9 miles from Ross On Wye. the Hereford trail walk passes just outside the entrance and we are in easy reach of plenty of attractions to go and visit.
Carol and Ian your hosts were brought up on country estates,
Carol is a trained cook and caterer while Ian is a farming
contractor, they have two daughters and four grand children
who visit regularly.
Their interests include Golf, Rugby, Hill Walking, Sewing,
Knitting, Painting, Gardening and antiques. |
Breakfast Room
If you wish you can bring home a takeaway or use the barbecue.
Breakfast consists of cereals, yogurts, fruit, fresh bread,
toast and of course what no Bed + Breakfast should be without
'The full English'.
Local produce is used whenever possible and can be served
to you in the dining room or on the patio in the summer.
If however your stay is during the winter months, the wood burning stove in the sitting room will be lit to keep you warm. |
